2019 Off the Rails Country Music Festival

This is our second year to attend the Off the Rails 2-Day Country Music Festival held at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX.  (https://www.offtherailsfest.com/)  If you enjoy country music, enjoy the camaraderie of other country music fans, want to bring your RV to have a place to sleep, rest, eat, be close to the venue, and don’t mind crowds, we recommend you attend next year!   The RV sites do sell out quickly and there are not that many to offer, so you might want to sign-up for their news letter (OTR) listed on the main page of the website, getting  the early notifications for next year (2020).RV Parking

Last year we attended with a couple of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the day.  This year we purchased 1-day tickets for our grown children and the grandchildren, who are old enough to enjoy the concert, as Christmas gifts.  We did not bring our 5th wheel since we live so close to the venue, but the grandchildren are hoping we do next year.

There are several options for purchasing tickets.  You can purchase 1-day or 2-days at various VIP levels or general admission:

After the fun day on Saturday, May 4 with the family, we purchased tickets for the two of us for Sunday, May 5, attending both days.

The security is very tight, there are restrictions on what can be brought into the venue,  be sure and check out the FAQ menu on the website.

A few photos from our fun-time with the family at the concert.  Luke Combs was a favorite, as was Luke Bryan, who we have seen in concert several times.  However, there was other very good talent and plenty of things to do between concerts.

Coincidentally, one of Bill’s long-time co-workers and his wife were seated next to us, on the same row at the concert.  The two of them were able to catch-up and we learned now that they too are retired and also like to take long road trips!
